Tesify is a writing assistant, not a ghostwriter
Tesify helps university students structure, draft, and format their thesis, dissertation, or research paper. It is built to support your writing process, not to replace it. Every sentence in your final submission should be written by you, in your own words, reflecting your own ideas and analysis.
This policy explains what Tesify does, what it does not do, and how we expect you to use it so that your work remains genuinely yours.
The core principle: authorship is yours
No matter which tool in Tesify you use, the ideas, arguments, and conclusions in your thesis must be your own. Tesify is designed around this principle: it assists with structure, clarity, citation formatting, and originality checks, but it does not generate a finished thesis for you to submit as your own unassisted work without disclosure, and it does not replace your responsibility to understand and stand behind everything you submit.
What Tesify does
- Structure: helps you organize your thesis into a logical outline of chapters and sections.
- Drafting support: suggests phrasing, rewrites for clarity or tone, and helps you develop a paragraph you have already started.
- Citations and bibliography: formats references in the style your institution requires (APA, MLA, Harvard, and others).
- Originality checks: flags passages that may need better paraphrasing or citation, so you can review and fix them before submission.
- Formatting and export: prepares your document in the layout your institution expects (margins, spacing, headings) and exports to Word, PDF, or LaTeX.
What Tesify does not do
- It does not write your thesis for you from scratch and present it as fully AI-generated work suitable for submission without your own contribution.
- It does not guarantee that your submission will pass any specific plagiarism detector — its originality check is a self-review aid, not a bypass tool.
- It does not fabricate data, sources, or citations. Any source suggested or formatted through Tesify must be a real, verifiable source that you have reviewed yourself.
- It does not replace your institution’s own academic integrity rules, your supervisor’s guidance, or your responsibility to disclose the tools you used, where required.
Misuse is prohibited
Using Tesify to generate a thesis you did not meaningfully write, to fabricate citations or data, to circumvent your institution’s academic integrity policies, or to misrepresent AI-assisted work as entirely your own unassisted output is a violation of these terms. We reserve the right to suspend accounts used in ways that are inconsistent with the purpose of this tool.
Follow your institution’s rules
Academic integrity policies vary between universities, departments, and even individual supervisors. Some institutions require disclosure of any AI assistance used in a submission; others restrict it more narrowly. It is your responsibility to know and follow the specific rules that apply to your program, and to ask your supervisor or academic integrity office if you are unsure whether a particular use of Tesify is permitted for your assignment.
